DALSA is now Teledyne DALSA

In February 2011, DALSA was acquired by Teledyne Technologies Incorporated. I want to share with you the positive nature of this development, both for DALSA and for our customers, partners, and suppliers.

As an introduction, Teledyne is a leading electronics, instrumentation and engineering focused company with headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA. Publically traded (NYSE:TDY), Teledyne had revenue of $1.8 billion in 2010 and 8,300 employees. They have acquired DALSA because of our technology and product leadership, valued employees, strong management team, and for the opportunities for collaborating in various strategic areas. As part of the Teledyne family, we will operate as Teledyne DALSA.

What can you expect from Teledyne DALSA? Our goal is to build upon our 30 year heritage of developing the world's leading high performance digital imaging and semiconductor solutions and to accelerate our level of innovation. My senior executive team and I will continue to focus on R&D development but also draw on the capabilities available to us as part of a larger organization. This will translate into products and technology that are truly innovative, adding even more value for our customers.

As Teledyne DALSA, we are committed to providing excellent support to all our customers. We are also committed to maintaining our operations in their current locations and investing in R&D. Our new product pipeline for 2011 is our strongest ever and we will focus on successfully bringing these new products to market.
