In 1976 Metronix was founded in Braunschweig by Dr. Rüdiger Karmann. First focus of business activities was the development of electro-magnetic measuring instruments for geophysical applications. A business segment which is a big topic today. The devices are used for the search of natural resources, i. e. for new sources of crude-oil, natural gas or ore. Worldwide Metronix is the second largest manufacturer of this special technology.
